After exploding onto the scene in 2010 thanks to some tour dates with Julian Casablancas, Funeral Party will look to bring in the New Year with an even bigger bang. The five-piece, Los Angeles-based band recently announced that its debut album, Golden Age Of Knowhere, will drop on January 25th through RCA Records.

Produced by Lars Stalfors (Matt & Kim, The Mars Volta) and mixed by Dave Sardy (Band of Horses, LCD Soundsystem), the record looks to be an up-tempo assault of new wave and electro. For example, just take a look at the band’s newly unveiled music video for “Just Because”. It’s more party than funeral

If you want even more of a preview, catch Funeral Party on tour with Two Door Cinema Club starting at the end of October. They’ll also embark on a UK tour opening for 30 Seconds to Mars in November.
