Book of the Week
	Naked Lunch is a novel by William S. Burroughs originally published in 1959.The book is structured as a series of loosely-connected vignettes. Burroughs himself stated that the chapters are intended to be read in any order. The reader follows the narration of junkie William Lee, who takes on various aliases, from the US to Mexico, eventually to Tangier and the dreamlike Interzone. The vignettes (which Burroughs called "routines") are drawn from Burroughs' own experience in these places, and his addiction to drugs (heroin, morphine, and while in Tangier, "Majoun"—a strong marijuana confection—as well as a German opioid, brand name Eukodol, of which he wrote frequently).
Movie of the Week
	Sunset Boulevard (also known as Sunset Blvd.) is a 1950 American film noir directed and co-written by Billy Wilder, and produced and co-written by Charles Brackett. It was named after the boulevard that runs through Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, California. The film stars William Holden as an unsuccessful screenwriter and Gloria Swanson as a faded silent movie star who draws him into her fantasy world, in which she dreams of making a triumphant return to the screen.
Album of the Week
	Silent Shout is the third studio album by the Swedish electropop duo The Knife. Silent Shout remains one of the most acclaimed records of the 2000s. Pitchfork Media named it the best album of 2006, with its title track being ranked the number-two song of the year. The song was also listed at number 74 on the website's list of The Top 500 Tracks of the 2000s, while the album was placed at number 15 on its list of The Top 200 Albums of the 2000s.
