AMERICAN rockers 30 Seconds to Mars took some time out of their whirlwind Australian tour for a Melbourne fix yesterday.
"It's great, it's a really pretty city," frontman Jared Leto said.
"We walked out a little bit today -- it's go
rgeous and the fans are always fantastic."
The band behind Closer to the Edge hit Melbourne's Godfrey St for an exclusive pop-up gig, Nissan Micra's Take 40 Live, last night. But the Los Angeles trio took plenty of time to enjoy the city -- and its coffee.
"We had a coffee and it was dang good. Luckily, there's a place over the road," said guitarist Tomo Milicevic.
"I'm having a coffee as we speak," drummer Shannon Leto chimed in.
The band will play Soundwave Festival tomorrow before heading to Adelaide and Perth.
